HAMMERFALL To Release Two Versions Of Single
August 26, 2002Sweden's HAMMERFALL will issue their new single, "Hearts On Fire", in two separate versions — "a regular audio single, of course, but also a DVD single with a 'Behind The Scenes' feature of the video recording (among other extra goodies)," according to guitarist Oscar Dronjak. Both are expected to receive a European release on September 23rd through Nuclear Blast Records.
Despite the nightclub assault two weeks ago which left HAMMERFALL vocalist Joacim Cans' face horribly scarred, the group have apparently gone ahead and filmed a video for "Hearts On Fire".
"The band and video crew spent a grueling day in MFX Studio in Göteborg, in front of giant so-called 'green screens'," said Dronjak. "This posed a problem to the video people, as the drums we wanted to use had a totally chromed surface, and I was (again...) covered in metal plates. This would make both the drums and me green, something which naturally was unacceptable. A new set of drums and a spray bottle to dull everything shiny — problem solved. They will cut us out of the picture and insert the images onto new backgrounds. I haven't seen them yet, but it sounds very exciting! As opposed to 'Renegade', which was a short movie clip to music, we have chosen to focus more on the band this time."
The full track listing for the "Hearts On Fire" single is as follows:
01. Hearts On Fire
02. We're Gonna Make It (TWISTED SISTER cover)
03. Heeding The Call (live)
04. Heeding The Call (live video CD-ROM)
HAMMERFALL's fourth full-length album, Crimson Thunder, is due in the fall.
